Bette Davis Eyes

One of the most beautiful songs for one of the greatest women of all times.



Bette Davis (1908-1989) was not only an extraordinary, eclectic actress and a style icon, but most of all was a strong, emotional, fearless woman with an intense personality. 
This song, played by Kim Carnes but written by Donna Weiss and Jackie DeShannon in 1974, talks about two great and expressive eyes behind which there's a sweet but determined and charismatic woman who is aware of the power of her charm.

Liu Jo fall winter 2011-2012

Liu Jo's fall/winter is dominated by three themes:

DREAM FLOWER
This theme leads us into a real garden of style, where precious details blossom, prints and patterns recall the delicate world of flower. The tones are neutral and dark, like sepia and black, interspersed with flashes of lighter colours such as elephant skin, rain and pond shade in an a mix of energy and harmony. Flowers bloom on prints applied to very stylised silk satin, buttons, brooches and innumerable decorations enriched by rhinestone. A triumph of soft lines enriched by draping and frills for dresses, shirts, cardigans and jumpers made of wool mixed with cotton, viscose and acrylic with a very comfortable effect.

CAVALRY DELUXE
With this theme, the ancient and aristocratic world of horse riding is rediscovered through the revival of the classic country-chic taste. The colours are cold and neutral like ash gray, turtle gray, sepia and alga green with few touches of soft red. Grat care is devoted to enhancing the waist: jackets and cardigans with belts around it, knitted or made of leather, enriched by ribbons and flowers, with asymmetric fastening or large models with English ribs. Soft and long cardigans, stretch jumpers with perforations, light items combined with lace and tulle enriched by leather details. Everything made of alpaca mix, carded wool, merino wool, cachemire mix and stretch viscose.

SHABBY CHIC
This theme is characterised by flowing volumes, within a mix of colours, patterns, lengths and overlaps, proposed in combinations involving jacquard jumpers, embroideries, vintage models and grills. The colours are beige, camel hair with touches of cold pink and turtle gray, also warm and melange shades like champagne, cappuccino and light coffe and dark moka melange, black and sepia. Precious detail is the fur overcoat applied on dresses; knitwear expresses a number of shapes and pattern yarns, where alpaca is the main component also combined with lurex yarn.

L'autunno/inverno di Liu Jo è dominato da tre temi:

DRAM FLOWER

Questo tema ci porta in un vero e proprio giardino di stile, dove sbocciano dettagli preziosi, stampe e motivi che rimandano al delicato mondo floreale. I toni sono neutri e scuri come il seppia e il nero, illuminati da colori più chiari come l'elephantskin, il rain e stagno in un mix di energia e armonia. Fiori si schiudono sulle stampe applicate su raso di seta, sui bottoni, sulle spille e su molteplici elementi decorativi arricchiti da strass. Un tripnfo di linee morbide arricchite da drappeggi e volan per abiti, camicie, cardigans e giacche fatte di lana mescolata a cotone, viscosa o acrilico con un effetto davvero confortevole.

CAVALRY DELUXE

Con questo tema, lo stile legato al mondo antico e nobile dell'equitazione viene riscoperto attraverso la rimonta del classico gusto country-chic. I colori sono freddi e neutri come il cenere, il tortora, il seppia e il verde alga con qualche tocco di rosso soft. Grande attenzione è dedicata all'esaltazione del punto vita: giacche e cardigan con cinture che lo segnano, in maglia o pelle, arricchite da fiori e nastri, dall'allacciatura asimmetrica o realizzata in costa inglese. Morbidi e lunghi cardigans, golfini stratch con trafori, capi leggeri abbinati a pizzo e tulle ricamato, arricchiti da dettagli in pelle. SHABBY CHIC

Questo tema è caratterizzato da volumi fluidi in un mix di colori, fantasie, lunghezze e sovrapposizioni, proposte in combinazioni di maglie jaquard, ricami, modelli di gusto retrò e frange. I colori sono beige, cammello con punte di rosa freddi e grigi tortora, ed anche tonalità calde e melange come champagne, cappuccino e light coffee, per finire con gli scuri moka, nero e seppia.
